Saturday Aug. 21st we hit the Quad Cities at 6 PM for the River Roots Festival featuring Credence. Thursday August 26th we play a 4 PM show in Millennium Park down town Chicago! The Road has finally recovered from Summer Camp. Yesterday we woke up in a corn field in Chillicothe and realized the festival has been over for a month. From everyone we talked to it was an awesome time! These videos on YouTube are all we have to go on. It is that time of year again. Spring is in the air and before you can kick off summer you got to get prepared. How do you get prepared you ask. Well lucky for you I have put together a little training program. It goes like this. You stretch and drink a lot of water. Go ahead and do that now. I will wait here.
Ok you are all stretched out now and well hydrated. I have taken the liberty of signing you up with a training team. This will keep you motivated so you don’t feel alone on your journey to triumph. The first team meeting is Friday May 14th at the Cornerstone in Decatur IL. This will be an orientation and general meet and greet for you to get to know your new team. Saturday May 15th will be our first full work out at Norb Andy‘s in Springfield. Don’t worry we will start slow and build up gradually. Recovery time is schedule for the next week. You will need to get a lot of rest and replenish your fluids.
The third team meeting is Friday May 21st at Bar Louis in Peoria IL. We will bring in veterans to give you inspirational stories of their trials and tribulations and how they overcame and made it. Saturday May 22nd will be the final team training day before the big event. It will be held at Budde’s in Galesburg IL. By now you will be mentally prepared and ready to take on the world. You can do it!
The training program now calls for you to take the final week off work. Sleep as much as possible. This is easily obtained by staying up very late. This is important in getting your sleep schedule properly aligned. Make sure to double your efforts in your hydration. Load up on complex carbohydrates and begin to shower two to three times a day. Building up on showers is a must. You only will have four days to completely prepare your mind body and spirit before the big event.
Thursday May 28th is finally here and you’re ready to do it. Summer Camp Music Festival and party marathon begins. Four days of non-stop music and fun await you at Chillicothe IL at Three Sister‘s Park. You have come so far in your training and now it is time to show everyone what you are really made of. Like a true champion you are going to show summer who is boss. You are going to take that bull by the horns and ride it all the way from Memorial Day Weekend, strait through 4th of July and on till Labor Day. Who’s The Man Now Dog!!!

Saturday afternoon will just be a hop between Springfield IL and St. Louis MO to the rural wonderment of Litchfield IL’s Wooden Nickel Winery and Saloon. A special 2pm afternoon delight performance. Then Saturday night it’s off to the resort city of the Midwest, Decatur IL. You will witness 56 Hope Road reuniting with Dr. Dave the band’s spiritual guru and guitar monster of Millikin University. This will take place in the party den known as The Winery, college home of Dave, Greg and The chAD. Now that’s a weekend you can be proud of! The Cornerstone will be hosting “The Official End of The Cold Ass Winter Blowout Extravaganza” with special guests Sons and Daughters opening up the evening. We will then get funky fresh Friday March 12th at Oliver’s in Peoria Heights. February is a very special month. It marks a great event and brings warmth to my heart. It celebrates great achievements in American history. It celebrates a great true American that encompasses the American dream. It lets you know how long your winter will last. It makes lovers come together. And I think we need to dedicate each and everyday of February to celebrate. That’s right celebrating my birthday!

I as you probably already know am turning 23 again this year on the 23rd of February. And since it is my star birthday, I have taken the liberty to rename this month Chadbruary. So the 56 Hope Road is doubling our efforts this month to bring you seven opportunities to celebrate my birthday. All I ask is that you please keep your gifts under $250,000. I don’t want to be embarrassed.

Chadbruary starts out in Indianapolis IN at The Mouse Trap this Friday the 5th. We then return to The Café in Macomb IL the next Friday Chadbruary 13th. There is a blowout super birthday party Saturday Chadbruary 14th in Chicago at the Bottom Lounge featuring Stellar Road, Backyard Cohorts and Mas Trueno. Show your true love how much you really care by celebrating my birthday with them. We then return to Springfield IL Thursday the 18th and bring the all month party to Marly’s. Friday the 19th we kick it at Timothy O’Toole’s in Gurnee IL. Our new year’s resolution is to play fewer shows and to make more money. So from now on, all our show’s cover charges will be $1,000. Hey just kidding! Only a $100. Got you again. $50. Does the fun ever stop?

We will be starting off the 2010 this Saturday at Bar Louie in Peoria. Great food and super awesome drinks, they have alcohol in them. We will then take the two week drive over to Oliver’s in Peoria Heights for a show on Friday January 22nd. I hope we make it. We close down the month at Lock Stock and Barrel in Decatur IL on Saturday January 30th. So there you have it, three times to get down with the 56 Hope Road this month. Let me give a shout out to you. HEY OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH OY OY OY!!!!!!! I hope I didn’t hurt your ears with that one. Let us be the first to wish you a super awesome Thanksgiving. We are so thankful for your enjoyment of our music we had to come back out of hiding again this month and put our necks out on the line to show you our gratitude. Sure we have bounties on our heads, stalkarazzi watching our every move and yea maybe we do know too much. That can’t hold us back from throwing down on our favorite hangs one last time before 2010.

First we kick off November with a curve ball to throw the bad guy’s off our scent by christening Cam’s Place in Peoria IL next Friday Nov. 13th. You might not even notice the special microfilm switch hands with double agent Roy code name The Mad Ripper from the secret society of Brainchild as he shreds faces on the guitar with us.

Next Saturday Nov. 14th we cross state lines into the seedy underbelly of St. Louis MO to unleash a secret weapon of mass percussion. Masked by the international couple of mystery Scott and Shawn of the diabolical MADahoochi syndicate. International peace keeping inspectors from Minnesota Roster McCabe will open this explosive fusion of highly volatile material.

Thursday Nov 19th Sedgwick’s in Chicago IL will let you into the mystery, wrapped in a riddle and shrouded by the enigma of 56 Hope Road. This speakeasy will house the last show of the trio assassins in ChiTown in 2009.

We cap off this month of intrigue and counter terrorism with a double secret probationary gig of monumental proportion at The Winery in Decatur IL. One of the deepest moles to ever come out of undercover covert operations Casey “The Chameleon” Fitzpatrick joins the justice league of 56 Hope Road Nov. 28th the Saturday after thanksgiving.

56 Hope Road is taking a hiatus from their hiatus and they have agreed to play one weekend of three shows this month. The Homecoming Celebration Super Get Down Weekend Extravaganza! It begins Oct. 15th Thursday at The Café in Macomb, IL kicking off Western Illinois University Leathernecks homecoming. Next, it is a homecoming for the 56 Hope Road, returning to Chicago IL to play the Cubby Bear Friday Oct. 16th and we are bringing some special friends with us. Guitar virtuoso Scott Rockwood and the enchanting keyboard wizard Shawn Hartung will join 56 Hope Road for the weekend. Scott and Shawn hail from Madahoochi, voted St. Louis’s #1 jam band and longtime friends and favorites of 56 Hope Road. As if that wasn’t enough fellow Chicagoans Land of Atlantis and Peoria IL rock gods Brainchild also join the bill. 56 Hope Road is proud to announce a special performance at the Alpine Valley VIP Club for the PHISH reunion tour on Sunday June 21st. 56 Hope Road is scheduled to appear in a limited access pre-party and after-party in the LiveNation VIP Club Sunday June 21st located at the top of the hill within the Alpine Valley venue.
