Hey 56ers
Get ready to get your mind blown with a super fun month of 56 Hope Road shows. It starts this Sunday at the Decatur Celebration, time 2 PM. Then it is up to Alpine Valley Saturday and Sunday for two VIP Phish shows. After that we make a triumphant return to Springfield IL for a Thursday night at Marly’s Pub Aug 15th. Saturday Aug. 21st we hit the Quad Cities at 6 PM for the River Roots Festival featuring Credence. Thursday August 26th we play a 4 PM show in Millennium Park down town Chicago! To rap up the month we are in the Peoria area rocking out the Putnam Arts Fair August 27th Friday. So put this shit on your calendar and party with the 56 before summer passes you by.

The Road has finally recovered from Summer Camp. Yesterday we woke up in a corn field in Chillicothe and realized the festival has been over for a month. From everyone we talked to it was an awesome time! These videos on YouTube are all we have to go on. Please enjoy one of our new songs, some old songs with special guests, a cover with special guests and a sampling of what it was like hanging with The Chad all weekend long.

The final show of the month will be held at Buddi’s in Galesburg IL Friday July 23rd. There you have it. Happy birthday United States of America. Let’s go ahead and win that world cup… what we lost again to Ghana… I mean next year… what every four years… We will do it in2014 you heard it here first.

Hey 56ers
It is that time of year again. Spring is in the air and before you can kick off summer you got to get prepared. How do you get prepared you ask. Well lucky for you I have put together a little training program. It goes like this. You stretch and drink a lot of water. Go ahead and do that now. I will wait here.
Ok you are all stretched out now and well hydrated. I have taken the liberty of signing you up with a training team. This will keep you motivated so you don’t feel alone on your journey to triumph. The first team meeting is Friday May 14th at the Cornerstone in Decatur IL. This will be an orientation and general meet and greet for you to get to know your new team. Saturday May 15th will be our first full work out at Norb Andy‘s in Springfield. Don’t worry we will start slow and build up gradually. Recovery time is schedule for the next week. You will need to get a lot of rest and replenish your fluids.
The third team meeting is Friday May 21st at Bar Louis in Peoria IL. We will bring in veterans to give you inspirational stories of their trials and tribulations and how they overcame and made it. Saturday May 22nd will be the final team training day before the big event. It will be held at Budde’s in Galesburg IL. By now you will be mentally prepared and ready to take on the world. You can do it!
The training program now calls for you to take the final week off work. Sleep as much as possible. This is easily obtained by staying up very late. This is important in getting your sleep schedule properly aligned. Make sure to double your efforts in your hydration. Load up on complex carbohydrates and begin to shower two to three times a day. Building up on showers is a must. You only will have four days to completely prepare your mind body and spirit before the big event.
Thursday May 28th is finally here and you’re ready to do it. Summer Camp Music Festival and party marathon begins. Four days of non-stop music and fun await you at Chillicothe IL at Three Sister‘s Park. You have come so far in your training and now it is time to show everyone what you are really made of. Like a true champion you are going to show summer who is boss. You are going to take that bull by the horns and ride it all the way from Memorial Day Weekend, strait through 4th of July and on till Labor Day. Who’s The Man Now Dog!!!

Spring is in full swing and 56 is here to make sure you are also. So cancel your plans this weekend of doing same old boring ass shit and hit the Hope Road. It will take you to sunny beautiful Macomb IL Friday. Were you can shake your booties with WIU’s finest coeds at The Cafe. Saturday afternoon will just be a hop between Springfield IL and St. Louis MO to the rural wonderment of Litchfield IL’s Wooden Nickel Winery and Saloon. A special 2pm afternoon delight performance. Then Saturday night it’s off to the resort city of the Midwest, Decatur IL. You will witness 56 Hope Road reuniting with Dr. Dave the band’s spiritual guru and guitar monster of Millikin University. This will take place in the party den known as The Winery, college home of Dave, Greg and The chAD. Now that’s a weekend you can be proud of! Until you find out the next day the list of crazy shit you did the night before, then it will be legendary.

It is time to break out the bikini, flip flops and suntan lotion. 56 Hope Road is returning to Decatur IL this Friday, the resort destination of the Midwest. The Cornerstone will be hosting “The Official End of The Cold Ass Winter Blowout Extravaganza” with special guests Sons and Daughters opening up the evening. So get there early to check Rob Burnett get freaking on the drums.
We will then get funky fresh Friday March 12th at Oliver’s in Peoria Heights. We are calling it “No Really the Cold Ass Winter is Really Over, The Chad From 56 Hope Road Told Me and I Think He Is Some Sort Of Meteorologist or Something, So We Have To Go Out And Party Down Gala“. These are your only two chances in the month of March to Party with the 56. If you miss these, then you are going to have to wait longer.
On a side note. As if I have to mention that Greg Fundis is the best drummer to ever walk the face of earth. You can catch Greg at the legendary Blue Note in New York, New York Saturday March 27 with Fareed Haque.
